Miss Marie's Learning Center

Miss Maries Learning Center is a school educating children from the ages of 33 months to six years of age. We offer an environment that promotes and nurtures learning. Our program is academically based however; we strive to bring out the best aspects of every child.

We offer several different programs to meet your needs. In addition to our academic program we offer a safe and fun extended care program as a service to our parents who work. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 6:00PM.

Miss Maries Learning Center follows the basic Montessori Method. The philosophy being that each child when presented in an environment that promotes learning will rise to their full potential. Our program focuses on enhancing a childs natural curiosity. We do not believe in limiting any childs potential. All children will be given direct attention withmaximum a ratio of one teacher to ten children.

Miss Maries Learning Center prides itself in the progress it has made with students in the areas of literacy and math. Most of our children will be able to read four and five letter words, be firmly entrenched in phonograms, and will progress to reading chapter books.

Mathematically, our children will be able to recognize their numbers to at least 20 with the more academically advanced learners being able to add and subtract in the thousands. This may seem daunting for the average three year old, however, because of our approach to learning this can be achieved by most children given the right direction.

While academics plays an important role in our program our belief is that encouraging a child to develop socially and emotionally serves to assist in developing a well rounded individual. We strive to instill in each and every child to respect themselves, their peers, and their environment. We want them to learn how to be independent, independence breeds confidence, a confident child will always strive to achieve and challenge themselves.
