Small World Nursery School

Salinas Christian School includes Small World Nursery for preschool children the Elementary School for K to 6th grade students and the Junior High Honor Academy for 7th and 8th graders. Salinas Christian is a well-established Christian school in the city of Salinas and has a long history and heritage in providing Education with Excellence since 1968. The school is the educational department of Sanctuary Christian Fellowship.

The Early Child program of Small World Nursery Preschool will provide an education that is relaxed yet stimulating. Being a process-oriented preschool we encourage all children to try new experiences. Children are curious inquisitive beings. We are here to help them peak their ever-present curiosity and to help them formulate answers to their inquisitiveness. We want to provide a relaxed atmosphere that encourages independence and development. Through this type of atmosphere children have a rate and pattern of growth which is individually right for them.

Low Student/Teacher Ratio: Class size is kept to a minimum for maximum learning. Kindergarten through third grade is 20 students per class. Grades 4 through 8 is 25 students. The capacity in the preschool classes meet the guidelines mandated by the state.

Qualifications of Teachers: Our teaching staff are excellent and experienced. All preschool teachers possess their ECE certifcation. Our elementary school teachers hold Bachelor’s degrEES and ACSI or State teaching credentials.

Accreditation: Accredited through Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Salinas Christian School is the only fully accredited Christian school in Salinas. Our preschool Small World Nursery is licensed by the State of California (License # 270700580).
