The Skyline College Child Development Center provides a comprehensive child development program, open to children of students, faculty and staff of the San Mateo Community College District, Skyline, CSM and Canada colleges. Low-income students may be eligible for subsidy by the California Department of Education, and fees are based on a sliding scale. Services are available for eligible children ages 2 – 5.9 years of age

Skyline College Child Development Center strongly believes that young children learn best through play. To make the most of the learning opportunities, the classroom teachers in the program facilitate a variety of hands-on, direct experiences for the children.

The Child Development Center desires to nurture compassion and to encourage personal growth in all endeavors, both by interaction with others and by individual journeys of understanding. Through play and the development of relationships, children grow and develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. Our children’s program is devoted to the development of the whole child in partnership with the family and home.
