Alta Plaza Preschool

At Alta Plaza Preschool, we believe that learning should be a natural, enjoyable experience in a stimulating, developmentally appropriate and safe environment. Positive learning experiences at an early age contribute to the development of each child’s sense of self and emotional well-being.

We emphasize the development of a positive independent self-concept in each child as well as a lifetime enjoyment of learning.

We encourage children to learn to use words instead of actions, providing them the tools to express their feelings so they can talk it out. Consistent clear limitations and appropriate modeling encourage expected behavior.

Our ultimate goal for each child is to learn self-discipline. We teach responsibility, not obedience. Our task is to help children develop skills that enable them to know and understand right from wrong, to make the correct choices and see how their behavior affects others.
