At Lakeside we believe that children learn by doing. Childhood is a special time for children to explore, create, find out about themselves and gain social competence in a nurturing atmosphere of respect, warmth, and love. We believe in a developmentally appropriate program, which respects each child’s individuality and offers an environment that provides a variety of learning experiences to meet the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual development of the “whole child.” We support children by helping them identify their emotions and verbalize their feelings as they develop their own sense of self-esteem.
We respect families as the primary and most important providers of nurturing and care and we believe in the partnership of parents and teachers in children’s education.
