Anderson Village State Preschool

Anderson Elementary School is located in West San Jose and a part of the Moreland School District. A smaller school within the district it serves approximately 430 students in grades K-5 with additional students attending our state and special education preschools. Our student population consists of 81% Hispanic students and 78% English Language Learners.

Over the past 3 years Anderson has made great strides in their school reform efforts As the lowest performing school in the Santa Clara County in 2006 we were determined to create an environment of student success. Over the past three years we’ve increased our API by 206 points! With the attitude that all students can and will achieve our high expectations teachers use data small group instruction and supplemental programs and interventions to provide students the education they deserve.
