The Child Development Center at Palomar College is a lab school for the Child Development Department. The Center is committed to providing a high quality, developmentally appropriate educational program for the children of students, staff, faculty, and community families. The Center is a model early childhood program with huge yards that provides a quality educational curriculum that assists the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of all children. Guiding our work with children is the belief that given appropriate opportunities and adult interaction, children learn and achieve skills for which they are developmentally ready. We believe all children need hands on, concrete experiences to assimilate new concepts and information. We provide outdoor classroom experience. We have programs at both the San Marcos and Escondido campus’s.
