Cathy’s Kids Club is a licensed child daycare center. Established in September of 1991, our center was in business for seventeen years in the City of Tustin. In April of this year, 2008, we moved to our current new location in the City of Santa Ana, California. Cathy’s Kids Club has four separate childcare programs: the Toddler Program for children 18 through 30 months, the Preschool program for children aged 2 1/2 through 5 years of age, the Kindergarten program for 5-6 year olds, and the school aged After School and Summer Day Camp program for 6-12 year olds. Each program has a separate age-appropriate curriculum designed for fun and learning. In addition to providing care for children, our center employs a staff of ten full time teachers. Our center is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays year around.
Our daycare center provides an important social service to families of Central Orange County. With few exceptions, our clients are working parents who need dependable childcare in order to go to their jobs. Unlike other childcare centers, to best accommodate the needs of our working clients, our center closes only on the major holidays.
In 1997 Cathy’s Kids Club made world news when it installed the first WEB-cams in its classrooms allowing the parents of its students to “look” inside the classroom and see their child at daycare. at the time it was such an amazing new concept that our idea and our daycare center was given extreme media attention. Because of the feeling of security and peace of mind that the WEB-cams offer our clients, our center always has a waiting list of students eager to enroll.

We believe in giving clients “Peace of Mind”. In a childcare industry, trust in the care- provider is of critical importance. Without trust, a parent would be foolish to leave her child. In order to make parents/clients feel comfortable enough to leave their child in our keeping, we have implemented the following:
We have an “Open Door” policy. Parents may come into our center anytime without an appointment. We encourage a “Parent-Teacher relationship”. The teachers are involved in all the aspects of the child.s life becoming almost a “family member”. To take the ultimate step, we installed Web-cams in each classroom. Parents may, log on, look in, and see their child from work or from home, any time of the day, from our protected web site.We also believe in a “Quality Educational Program”. Our trained staff is educated in early childhood education. All staff members have additional college classes in related subjects to give them a broad educational background. They complete a weekly lesson plan form posted for parents to read. Each lesson plan includes activities to develop the child physically, socially, emotionally, as well as cognitively.
We believe in offering extra or varied services in order to meet the needs of our clients. This includes allowing various combinations of part time days, drop in childcare, care of children in diapers, and so on. We accommodate what other childcare facilities will not. We make available special combinations of days, of weeks, temporary or full time, to meet the various needs of working parents.
And lastly, we believe in giving value. Compared to neighboring childcare facilities we offer the extras already mentioned in addition to weekly computer classes for the children, a Kindergarten with “private school” status, and an expanded arts program. All this is offered at a tuition rate in the middle range so we are affordable.
