As an organization we are committed to continuing Maria Montessoris work towards her vision of a world where education recognizes the wisdom of childhood and enhances childrens intrinsic gifts. We view the services we perform as impacting a series of communities: the children we serve, their parents, our staff, the Montessori Community; and, through these direct stakeholders, the community at large. We are committed to the following with the hope that by doing our work well we will affect change in the communities we serve.

  • To increase general awareness of the importance and value of education in the early childhood years.
  • To provide an environment which allows children to develop within themselves with foundational attitudes, habits, and skills that are essential for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning.
  • To provide an environment for staff that will empower them in fulfilling their creative exploration and professional development.

Dr. Montessori believed children, if guided to the full realization of their potential, held the power to ultimately regenerate humanity. She called this potential the secret of childhood and envisioned a future crafted by adults who had unlocked this secret and guided society to a way of being where humanitys mission would be to know, love, and serve.

She developed a process of education that is attuned to the childs inner drives, promotes the beneficial interaction of the child and his surroundings, and that leads to the childs mastery of himself and his environment.

She believed, and it has been proven, that this process can develop children who are confident, competent, self-disciplined, spiritually strong, and thus, able to work cooperatively for the benefit of society. She believed that such children would lead to the creation of a better world. We, who share her vision, believe that its realization is more vital today than ever before.
