First Baptist Church Pre-School

The preschool provides an opportunity for each child to learn to share and play with others in a warm, loving, Christian environment. We are proud of our continuing reputation for combining the academic activities needed for kindergarten success with strong Christian character building. Our monthly curriculum includes colors, numbers, letters and shapes, as well as religious themes, science and social studies. The preschooler’s day is action packed full of fun! A hands-on/whole language approach to learning is evident in all of our classrooms, as well as the introduction to phonics. The teaching staff is trained in child development and very much supports the philosophy that each child develops at his/her own pace. All of our classrooms reflect this philosophy by exposing all the children to a number of varied learning centers, so that when they are ready to take on a particular skill, the materials are available for them. Arts and crafts, snack, physical education (inside and outside), story time and weekly music time will all be a part of your preschooler’s day. Most importantly, our preschool prvoides the children with an opportunity for learning to share and play with others.
