St. Helen Pre-kinder

Welcome to St Helen Catholic School, a Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade coeducational Catholic school located in South Gate, California. We are a ministry of St. Helen Parish and are a part of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Throughout these pages, you will find information about our full-day Pre-Kinder program, our Kindergarten program, and our excellent spiritual, academic, and enrichment opportunities available to our students. We are fully accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Academic excellence is the hallmark of an SHS education. The students are challenged to meet the highest academic standards, built on the foundation of Christs love. In addition to a challenging curriculum that is aligned with Archdiocesan and state standards, we offer an enrichment program which includes drama, dance, technology, and athletics.

We take pride in the fact that our mission calls us to educate the whole child. In partnership with the parents, we strive to prepare our students to become loving and productive members of society. Through the curriculum and many co-curricular activities at our school, we seek to open eyes and doors to the wonderful possibilities for the future.
