Little Flowers Early Childhood Center was known as Excelsior Preschool. Founded in 1986 Excelsior Preschool was then transferred to another owner who lead the school until November 1995. I Bernadette Martelly-Paul purchased Excelsior Preschool and changed the name to Little Flowers Early Childhood Center.
I was then working as educational director at Love Peace and Joy Preschool. I took possesion of the school and since we’ve been excelled. Year after year we’ve been blessed with wonderful staff parents and students. Parents have been very supportive of our work. Our students have made honors and principals lists at local public and private schools where they attend. Thanks to our dedicated staff. Thanks to our supportive and cooperative parents and friends. Most of all thanks to the Lord. We wish to continue providing the best of our service to our community for years to come.
Little Flowers is now proud to announce the opening of our new state-of-the-art afterschool program located at 232-08 Merrick Blvd. Laurelton Queens NY. Our afterschool program is licensed by the State of New York and the Health Department of the City of New York.
We provide homework assistance and city wide test preparation. We also offer arts and craft activities computer lessons and aerobics classes to our students. We have put in place a reading and writing contest and a pen pal program to encourage students to perfect their expressive writing vocabulary and spelling. After homework is completed children are allowed to play in our well equipped playground. This facility is authorized to administer over-the-counter topical ointments only
