Bridges Montessori

Bridges Montessori was established in 1992 with just six students and quickly blossomed into an active school community with 160 children and 12 directresses by 1996. We enjoyed a high retention rate of children moving from preprimary to elementary and continued to see our elementary program thrive.

By 1997 Bridges was ready to build a new campus designed to actualize our goal of creating an expanded Montessori community for infants through elementary school children. Bridges beautiful new facility came to fruition in 2001. Nestled on three and a half acres of tropically landscaped lawns the Old Floridian style village now houses all classrooms for our students. From the very start the schools leadership has sought the latest educational research innovative ideas and cutting-edge strategies incorporating best teaching practices with traditional Montessori methodology.

As a result Bridges has garnered a solid reputation for academic excellence and continues to attract families throughout Martin County who seek a distinctive forward-thinking and creative environment where children grow into extraordinary scholars and world citizens. Bridges offers the advantages of a private school with the academic philosophy of a Montessori program. Each student experiences an individualized academic education personalized to their unique learning style and abilities. When students move forward from Bridges it is with superior acumen exceptional time management and organizational skills well-prepared to take the next step of their learning journey.

We are proud to be affiliated with American Montessori Society (AMS) and have exceeded all required AMS standards. We are also accredited by the Association of Independent Schools of Florida (AISF) the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS CASI) and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA). In 2007 Bridges joined with Bright Horizons Montessori Schools part of Bright Horizons Family Solutions the worlds leading provider of child care and early education.
