As on-site owners and enrolled parents, we know firsthand the importance of providing the best possible environment for children. The Goddard School can make a positive difference in your child’s life. Our warm, loving atmosphere features full- and part-time programs throughout the year. For the convenience of working families, our extended-day program is available from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our programs are designed to enhance the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of your child from six weeks to six years of age. We also offer full-day, private Kindergarten, before and after-school enrichment and a summer “camp” program for children up to eight years of age. We offer both part-time and full-time programs. In addition to our standard curriculum, we incorporate the following enrichment programs into each day’s activities, at no additional cost:
Goddard’s Guide to Getting Along: Children have the opportunity to acquire essential skills such as friendship, compassion, cooperation and kindness! This program allows children to participate in age-appropriate activities to develop and build their skill on an individual and group level. Spanish: Children are excited about the fun and educational language program we offer at The Goddard School. This introductory program uses a multitude of interesting games, songs and activities to expose children to the Spanish language and culture. Time to Sign, Inc.: Our children are learning American Sign Language. Beginning in our Infant program, children learn to communicate using signs through the use of songs, games, stories and active play. Music Appreciation: Our innovative musical program encourages children to express their feelings, investigate rhythm and explore other cultures through active participation. Fitness (Early Childhood Physical Activity): Our fitness program by SPARK, is specifically designed and equipped for preschool children. The program promotes a healthy lifestyle by focusing on four curricular goals for children’s physical fitness: B-Balance A-Agility S-Strength E-Endurance. Each classroom has a morning and afternoon gym period in our indoor gymnasium. Building Language for Literacy: This language arts program, developed by Scholastic, is geared for literacy development in the early childhood years. The program uses fun-loving characters to focus on the fundamentals of literacy. Children gain critical language and literacy skills to build a foundation for success in reading. Yoga School: This cross-curricular learning experience helps young children improve focus, balance, creativity, flexibility, body awareness and control. Art History: Is there a future Picasso or Cassatt among us? Age-appropriate art projects, games and hands-on activities expose our children to the influence of art and artists throughout history. Rock N’ Tot creates a fun and loving atmosphere that builds friendships and confidence in every child while introducing them to the fundamentals of dance.Our degreed teachers and faculty create a loving, nurturing atmosphere while incorporating fun and exciting learning experiences. Daily lesson plans are designed to meet the needs of the “whole” child, even as young as six weeks of age. A typical day includes academics, music, language activities, science, creative art and supervised play.
You will know specifically what goes on during your child’s day through our personalized Daily Activity Report. The Daily Activity Report will allow you to know what activities your child participates in so that you can talk to your child about their day at School. The activities on the Daily Activity Report come from our daily lesson plans, which our teachers create based on the development of the children in their classroom. Children are encouraged to progress at their own pace according to their individual needs and abilities.
Our state-of-the-art custom designed building has been planned to provide a safe, healthy and stimulating environment.
