The Land of Learning Childcare Center evolved from a local home childcare. The Center was created from the ground up and was opened in August 2004 by owners Jami and Hung Nguyen. Jami Lawson-Nguyen, owner and Chelon Stroyan-Benson are the co-directors of The Land of Learning. They hold degrees in Early Childhood and Special Education. Jami and Chelon were born and raised in DeKalb and have been life long friends. They are passionate about serving young children within our local communities.

The center provides a structured program within a hands-on learning environment, designed to meet the childrens developmental needs. The teachers plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that includes activities in the areas of art, music, small and large motor, dramatic play, language and literacy. We provide a balance of active, quiet, individual and group activities to assist the childs social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
