First St John Dayschool

Our school is under the jurisdiction of the Dayschool Board of Education of First St. John Lutheran Church.
We are a nonprofit organization existing as a ministry of the church to serve the community.
We adhere to the standard established by Chapter 5101 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio. We are licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services to care for 121 preschool children and 51 school-aged children. The license is posted in the Dayschool office and the laws and rules are available for your review upon request. The centers licensing records including compliance report forms and evaluation forms from the health building and fire departments are available upon request from the department. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services toll free number is 1-866-886-3537 for any person to use to report a suspected violation by the center.
The center observes a child/staff ratio of one to eight in our preschool and pre-kindergarten and one to ten in the kindergarten during instructional times. The kindergarten maximum group size is 20 children and the preschool maximum group size is 21 children.
Our staff is salaried and includes experienced educated & certified teachers and teacher assistants.
