History of Babes In Toyland
I would like to introduce you to Babes in Toyland Educational Daycare Center a place where your child is our number one concern and his/her welfare and development is our top priority.Babes in Toyland was established in 1984 by Marilyn Randazzo. We have found children do best in a warm loving atmosphere where a staff experienced in early childhood development works closely with each individual youngster. This has been proven through our 85% retention rate with students who begin with us as infants and graduate our Pre-Kindergarten program.
At Babes in Toyland we are continually updating our teachers credentials and our program benefits to ensure your child a happy and healthy start on their journey to life long learning.

“I knew that my place in life was with young children. In December 1984 Babes ln Toyland Educational Daycare Center was officially incorporated. I am very thankful that I made that decision. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with such wonderful children and families. There is a special place in my heart for all the children who have been with Babes In Toyland over the years. Each child has left me with special memories that I will cherish forever.”

Our Philosophy
The philosophy of a child care center largely influences the types of activities the curriculum and the kind of care that will be presented in the Center. Therefore it is imperative that parents become familiar with the philosophy behind the Center in order to understand the focus of the program. Staff members at Babes In Toyland feel that the program should focus on the development of the whole child. In order to do this we look at the cognitive physical emotional and social needs of each child. We feel that children develop sequentially from one stage of development to another. Because of this we feel that children must be provided with opportunities that will challenge them and aid in their progression from one stage to the next.
We also believe that children construct knowledge through experience; therefore our program will provide children with a large variety of activities that will allow for success and encourage advancement in all areas of development. In addition we feel that in order for children to grow they need to exist in a setting that meets their basic needs. Therefore it is our utmost concern that our program provides a nurturing comfortable environment that is specifically structured to meet the physical emotional and developmental needs of each individual child. In order to do this it is most important that we work closely with the families in order to secure an environment that is most beneficial to the child.
