Preschool in Tucson, AZ 85750
St. Alban’s Preschool and Kindergarten maintains a child first curriculum. We believe children learn by doing. Our teachers encourage children to challenge themselves mentally by selecting self-guided activities that build upon their current knowledge.
Curriculum springs from the children’s questions. Together, teachers and children find answers through math, science, reading, writing, and social studies. The program at St. Alban’s addresses child development across many domains.
An incredible assortment of playground equipment promotes climbing, swinging, and large motor movement. Our playground invites varied child-guided activities: relaxing in the oasis area, participating in races or challenges, hammering nails in a tree stump, learning to weave, painting a picture, reading, writing or flying air planes.
Our campus also embraces an open grassy courtyard for organized games fostering team work, physical fitness and coordination. Children participate in gymnastics and music programs taught by professionals.
Teachers support children in both conflict resolution and team building. We believe in making the whole family part of the learning team. At St. Alban’s, parents, siblings, grandparents, and other people (and pets) important to our children are welcome to participate.
Our classrooms even offer greater possibilities! Class sizes are small with no more than 17 children and two adults. Schedules are flexible to meet diverse social and scheduling situations. Enrollment is open to children as young as 2.8 years old (provided they are potty-trained) through our accredited kindergarten.
