Our goal at Shelby University is based on a blend of educational theories that support play as children’s primary means of learning about themselves and the world around them. Our teachers utilize a “themed” approach in planning a curriculum and providing an environment that encourages self-discovery hands-on manipulation of materials and activities that are meaningful and appropriate for young children. Regard for children’s development in all areas (social intellectual emotional and physical) is an integral part of our philosophy. Our daily program incorporates many opportunities for children to acquire and build skills in these areas.
