At The Gardner School, we promote active, engaged and academic learning that boosts our students’ knowledge level and Kindergarten preparedness well beyond their peers. We create a rich learning environment that will stimulate each child’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth. Our unique learning atmosphere incorporates a careful blend of Traditional and Montessori styles of learning through a balance of child- and teacher-directed educational activities. Understanding that each child is unique, our teaching philosophy incorporates structured play, while remaining flexible enough to foster self-discovery that will help each child learn at his or her own pace. Our program features a full day of developmentally and age-appropriate lessons and activities that our students greatly enjoy. We base each age group’s lesson plans on a research-based, comprehensive curriculum that is essential to our students’ first learning experiences.

On top of our academic curriculum, we offer a customized menu of small-group, supplemental classes in foreign languages, dance, gymnastics, sports skills, art, karate, music, drama and computer-based learning with our Be Smart Kids Software. These enrichment classes are taught by specially trained teachers with dedicated backgrounds in their disciplines.
