Carelot Childrens Center is committed to providing quality care and education in a warm, secure, loving environment. It is our philosophy that early childhood should be a time of fun, exploration and discovery. Our staff strives to encourage the children we care for to be actively involved in the learning process by providing age appropriate activities. These activities will stimulate and challenge your child according to his/her individual needs.
The Centers purpose is to provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development of the child as a whole. In order to achieve this, the children are given the opportunity to learn through play throughout the day. Play and socialization is a vital part of a childs learning process.

It is our Philosophy that learning through play is a key part of the early childhood learning experience. Learning through play is the active involvement with adults, children and materials. Through quality play activities, the children gather valuable information as they develop important skills for future academic success! It is important for children to have experiences with real objects before they understand meaning of such symbols as letters & numbers. It is for this reason that our hands on approach to learning is important for the children to experiment, touch, manipulate and interact with their environment.
Our program is designed to maximize the developmentally appropriate practice for each child. Our curriculum focuses on the process of learning. For example, painting is more important than what is painted & building with blocks is more important than what is built.
