As a certified Montessori teacher Diane Scott our Directress and Primary classroom teacher brings with her 27 years of Montessori experience. Mrs. Scott received her Montessori Intensive Training Certification for preschool ages 3 to 6 years accredited through the University of California.
Our toddler teacher Ashlea Pena enjoyed a Montessori education beginning at age 3. She is a certified Montessori teacher and also holds a Texas Educators certificate to teach early childhood thru 4th grade with ESL attachment. She taught in the public school system for 3 years and then taught 1 year at a private Montessori Pre-School in Fort Worth.

Q: What is the difference between Montessori & traditional education?
Montessori emphasizes learning through all five senses not just listening watching or reading. Children in Montessori classes learn at their own individual pace & according to their own choice of activities from hundreds of possibilities. Learning is an exciting process of discovery leading to concentration self motivation self-discipline & a love of learning. Montessori represents an entirely different approach to education.
Q: What ages will Heart2Heart Montessori Academy serve?
The standard Montessori programs start for ages 3-6. Our school will have early childhood classes beginning at 18 months of age. Of course each child will be evaluated to see what their individual needs may be.
Q: How easy is it to introduce my child into Montessori if they are not familiar with the process?
Montessori is designed to help all children reach their fullest potential at their own pace. Social development comes from being in a positive & unique environment with other children – an integral part of Montessori education.
