Welcome to our wonderful preschool in Williamsburg, VA! My name is Brandi Rutledge and I am the Director for school #180. My passion is creating an environment that fosters quality education and meets the needs of our children, their families, and the staff.

I’m very enthusiastic and love to engage, excite, and inspire children to be their best. Our teachers want children to succeed and become lifelong learners using the experiences they have in our school. With this in mind, we are taking literacy and learning for children to a new level through science. Children in each classroom enjoy growing plants, experimenting and discovering. Science is explored in out school every day! We use our garden, class pets, and special projects to help children investigate, hypothesize, and document their observations. We’ve found that children in each of the age groups really love getting hands on and with our science experiments and it improves their development. Our Kindergarten Prep Academy (Kindergarten readiness program) operates on a full day, full year schedule for children ages 4-5 years old. Our pre-k curriculum also provides a unique balance of standards-based on class room support materials. For our school age children, we offer an after school program called the Young Achiever’s Club. We provide pick up and drop off from schools, an afternoon snack and homework help. Also, during the summer months, your child can be a part of our Adventure Summer Camp, when learning really gets fun! We will take the campers on educational field trips to various locations such as museums, go carting, swimming, parks, martial arts, and ice cream truck visits! Throughout the year we prepare and provide breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack to the children in our programs. Meals are approved by the USDA and keep the children energized and ready to learn while they are at school. Give us a call or come by our preschool on John Tyler Highway for a tour!
