Cardinal Montessori School (CMS) is the oldest AMS affiliated Montessori school in Prince William County with roots back to 1959. Our school is committed to assist each child to reach his/her full potential in the areas of child development.
The Cardinal Montessori School sits on over an acre of property with a large wooded fenced-in recreational area which offers a variety of play equipment in an attractive outdoor setting. Several large 80 year old+ Oak trees offer shade in the late spring and summer and plenty of leaf fun in the fall.
The Building is approximately 5,000 square-feet that has three primary classrooms, one lower-elementary classroom; grades one through three, and one upper-elementary classroom; grades four through six.
Over a hundred and twenty students attend the school which is rated by the Virginia Department of Social Services for an occupancy of 198. These children represent many cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds. Most of our students live within a thirty mile radius of the school.

Our Philosophy begins with a belief that a child comes to us with unlimited potential and must be treated with respect and dignity as the adult they are to become. The most important qualities a child develops in our classes are self-confidence, self-esteem, independence, self-discipline, thinking skills, and a love of learning. Each child is taught that they are capable of making decisions that influence them and that they are responsible for the decisions made.
