Preschool in Yuma, AZ 85364
Shepherd’s Watch Academy is a DES-Approved, full service Christian pre-school and daycare. We are located in beautiful Yuma, Arizona, on the corner of Arizona Avenue and 22nd Street.
Our spacious facility features almost 6000 square feet of indoor activity area, split between two buildings. Our facility affords us the ability to separate our students by age group, keeping all of our students safe and secure. We offer individual settings for infants, one year olds, and two year olds. Our pre-school, and school age students are housed in our main building, and have limited interaction with the younger students.

Shepherd’s Watch Academy holds a strong belief that children are a gift from God. We are passionate about providing them with love, protection, and education. Character and Spiritual Development are integral threads that run throughout our curriculum and daily activities. Enrollment at SWA is open to children of all faiths, and being an active Christian is not a requirement to enroll.
Through the use of creative curriculum and integration of core Christian values, we provide our students a solid foundation on which they will build future successes. We encourage our students to interact, play, and have fun while they learn. SWA provides an environment filled with love, security, acceptance, guidance, and sensitivity to the child’s intellectual, emotional, physical, and social needs. We implement a regular combination of free choice activities, goal-oriented group endeavors, and time for rest and reflection.
Unlike traditional daycare, SWA’s emphasis on holistic growth affords its students significant advantages in all areas of their future education. SWA offers a complete program which challenges and nurtures children equally with respect to gender, race and religion. We understand the importance of our students’ security in this day and age, and are continually improving our safety and security protocols.
We encourage Parents to be involved in their child’s experience at SWA, and we offer many additional support services for accomplishing this. A strong, supportive family life normally leads to fewer behavior, emotional, and physical issues in developing children. We invite you to come visit our facility for a guided tour, and opportunity to observe our staff and students in their daily routines.
