Adam K. offers Latin Lessons

Els V. from Burke, VA We moved to the States from Belgium. My daughter had Latin in 7th grade in Belgium and to make a return back to her Belgian school possible, she had to study Latin in 8th grade. Since she could not take it at middle school at the level necessary, Adam taught my daughter Latin during the year on a weekly basis. This was a challenge since Latin is instructed in a different way in Belgium and since my daughter was an ESOL student. We worked very well together. Adam worked with the book she would have used in Belgium in 8th grade, but also prepared extra material to help her out with grammatical items and extra readings. He was very committed to making sure she got all the content and that she understood all the content, and he helped her when necessary with English. He was very supportive and patient. My daughter made great progress. Adam was able to keep my daughter motivated all year, although she had extra lessons after school and extra homework. He was very good in finding the best way to instruct my daughter. And it was always very clear to her what she was expected to do over the week. Communication between me and Adam went very well. Overall this was a very positive experience for my daughter and for me!
