Rita F. offers Reading Lessons and English Lessons

Arlene C. from Aurora, CO First and foremost, I was looking for a writing tutor for my 4th Grader. I found Rita through Wyzant. When I first reached out to her, I asked her to provide me with a summary of her approach. It was informative and sound which pushed me to the next step which was to meet with her. Rita's been working with my son for a few weeks now and has given him the structure and confidence he needs to writing better reports and creatively. She comes prepared each session with a different writing focus and exercise. She's very patient working with my son - not intimidating at all. I happened to be thinking about getting private swim lessons for my daughter but didn't have a chance to look into it. I lucked out with Rita as she happens to be a swimmer and has coached previously. I asked her if she would be willing to provide swim lessons as well and she was. Although my daughter is not learning how to swim from nothing (she previously took swim lessons but lost the confidence), Rita has done a great job in teaching her the front stroke, back stroke and most importantly rolling onto her back when she's tired and treading water in a short period. My daughter is now going down the water slide and swimming all over the pool where she would only stay in the shallow end before. It was a great crash course in swimming! Again, Rita was very patient and encouraging with my daughter. We love Rita! She's done a great job working with my kids!
