Fatima K. from Berkeley, CA Just two days before my final paper's due date, my professor ripped my paper apart when I went to office hours to talk about getting some feedback. I started freaking out because improving the paper at that point was very difficult for me. That's when I decided to use WyzAnt! When I contacted Sarah, she responded very promptly and agreed to meet me on that same day. After meeting her, I felt comfortable around her because she has such a friendly personality. Sarah was a life saver; she tutored me in making my paper into something that I am proud of. I would recommend Sarah to anyone who needs help with grammar, proofreading, etc. She is an awesome tutor!
Stephanie T. from Oakland, CA Sarah has the remarkable ability to be exactly what the child needs, based on their unique situation. My two daughters needed an extra boost at the end of the school year, but in very different ways. My 6th grader had fallen behind and was overwhelmed with getting her work done. She asked for a tutor and went to her sessions enthusiastically. For her, Sarah was just the right amount of patience, understanding, direction, and encouragement. She got all caught up and felt like her work was doable. My other daughter, a ninth grader, was unhappy with the 'C' grades she was getting but didn't really want to do much about it. She was not as enthusiastic about getting a tutor. With her, Sarah was exactly the right amount of drill sergeant, mom, teacher, get-it-done while being encouraging and positive. My older daughter got all of her work done and got better grades and the best part - I didn't have to listen to her complain about her work or grades any more. Sarah did that! Sarah was totally flexible about where we met for the tutoring sessions and we conveniently picked a spot that was half-way for both of us. Sarah was fantastic about communicating with me. She would text to confirm our lessons. She even tutored the girls remotely WHILE ON HER VACATION! And then emailed me to let me know how it was going and what I needed to make sure the girls had done for school the next day. I couldn't believe how personally invested she was in helping my girls. And of course, Sarah was knowledgeable about the subject matter. And if the girls were assigned something she didn't know, she got online and immediately did research for herself or for the girls, often sending links to information that would help them. Sarah was great. You could tell she's had a lot of experience tutoring other students. I would recommend her to anyone with a struggling student.
