I am a professional trumpet player, vocalist, and dedicated socially-justice geared music educator. I have attained a Bachelor of Trumpet Performance from Gettysburg College and am currently on track to graduate from Longy School of Music’s double Master’s Program in Music Performance and Music Education, Summa Cum Laude.

Trumpet students (as well as any student of mine!) can expect to improve week to week in their techniques. Every player has a unique timbre; I teach students to release built-up tension and apply foundational techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I can help any student to sing through their instrument with freedom, confidence, and expression.

I also teach voice, piano, composition, and music-theory students of all different ages and experience levels. I can teach students to read music/chord charts and pursue musical excellence in any and all genres depending on the goals and preference of the student.

As a professional trumpet player, I have had the opportunity to perform as a featured soloist at the Kennedy Center, NYC’s Cipriani 42nd Street, The Gardens of The Isabella Gardner Museum, as well as 25+ countries in Europe and the Caribbean. Notable players that I have had the opportunity to perform and study with include Jesse Hamilton Jr. (Simba from “The Lion King” on Broadway), Aaron Smith (trumpet player from Despicable Me, Ellen, the LATE LATE Show, and The Voice) Tom Seal (jazz pianist), Javier Gonzales (trumpet player from Dancing with The Stars) and many more!

My personal passion is improvisatory music like jazz and funk but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to along your musical journey!
