Testimonials
Brandon G. from Brooklyn, NY After two sessions with Jonathan, I have learned a lot of new methods that will help me do well on the next test. I highly recommend this tutor to anybody in the Brooklyn area that needs help with Global Regents.
Susan S. from Bronx, NY Jonathan was an excellent tutor. He helped my daughter focus on what she needed to study in order to be prepared for the Global Regents. He also provided her with helpful strategies for taking the test. I would recommend him as a tutor.
Mio S. from Brooklyn, NY With Jonathan's patient instruction, my 4th-grader's writing has become much more clear and organized. In the short time they've worked together, my son has also become a more confident reader. Jonathan knows how to find students' strengths and let them flourish. We appreciate his support, and my son likes him a lot. He can't wait for the next lesson!
Ruth Y. from New York, NY Jonathan is great! He can coax my teenage high school sophomore daughter out of her grumpy "I don't need a tutor" mode, to being really excited about her tutoring sessions in geometry and earth science so much so that she will also discuss her other subjects, such as the short story she had to write for English. It is comforting to know that your child trusts her teacher/tutor and that there is an organic conversation about learning and not just the subjects that were pre-determined by the parent. Jonathan has a gentle personality. He's funny and smart and my daughter responds well to him. He is demanding too in that he asks her to do the problem solving and the explaining as well. It's not just more lecturing. It's interactive and she's knows she is a safe place to explore and ask questions and show her old tests and homework and see where she veered off. Did I mention that I have middle schooler as well? Jonathan tutors her in seventh grade math. My daughters are different children with different personalities and ways of thinking and learning and Jonathan understood this. They both are so happy for their session with him. We've had tutors before, but sometimes I could just tell that there was more a resolve than a "looking forward to" feel. My middle schooler just got a 15/15 back on a quiz Friday and can't wait to show Jonathan. She told me, "It feels really good to get a good grade in math." Thanks, Jonathan.
