As a child, I wasn’t very fond of reading. Sure, I read as a child…picture books, stories about monsters and movie adaptations, et cetera. Yet, I cannot say I truly discovered my love for literature until I was in 7th grade. It took a grisled, old teacher to finally open the door to true imagination and the understanding of the written word. She helped to expand my understanding of the world and my own views through timeless tales and the beauty of poetry.
