Ken G. from Willingboro, NJ Valerie is an excellent tutor that worked very hard to establish a connection with my daughter. Her concern for making a connection with my daughter demonstrated her understanding of what it takes to be an effective tutor. Once she won my daughter's approval and established the connection, she was in a position where she could instruct and my daughter would listen. She worked equally hard to win her respect, so my daughter felt like Valerie knew what she was talking about. This respect has gone a long way, already, in helping my daughter enjoy tutoring, want to attend tutoring and learn from her tutor. Game, match, set! I have never seen a tutor work so hard, be so thorough and care so much. For my daughter's first writing assignment, Valerie also wrote a paper on the same topic, then compared and contrasted the two papers. What a novel idea! Valerie is innovative, passionate about her craft, communicative and thorough. She is a pleasure with which to work and I am confident my daughter will benefit tremendously from the sessions.
