Justyna R. from Chicago, IL I chose Sarah to give ESL lessons to my husband. From the first day that they were supposed to meet, she cancelled last minute on him (about an hour before). I thought it may be a one time thing, so they rescheduled. On the day she rescheduled to meet with him, she asked to change their meeting time shortly before. When they finally had two lessons, my husband loved it! He said she was prepared, gave him a great online resource, and was overall great as a tutor. Since then, however, when my husband has been trying to schedule additional sessions with her, she has been very unreliable and unprofessional, in my opinion. She is late to respond to texts and requests to change meeting times and days last minute (usually about one hour or less before). This has been very inconvenient and frustrating for my husband who has been altering his schedule to meet with her and needed help with his homework. We could have made plans with a different tutor if we knew in advance that she would have so little availability. Today, after having cancelled last week on him, she wrote him around noon asking if they could meet at 5 pm. My husband agreed. At 4:50 pm (10 minutes before their meeting time!!!) she wrote him saying that she forgot about their meeting and ended up staying later at work. How do you forget about a meeting you made just a few hours ago?? How can you make plans with someone that is paying you and relying on your help, and then cancel last minute because you simply forgot? It seems very unprofessional and immature. Overall, from our experience, she is good teacher, but frustratingly unreliable and unprofessional.
