She is always on time, very patient, and her knowledge of Spanish helped my dad when there was a need (my dad speaks Portuguese) but she always managed to use Spanish only as an emergency. She focuses a lot on pronunciation, which in his case is the most important since he reads and writes fine, but our goal is to make him speak and listen more. We will definitely have Micah teaching my dad more classes in July.

Michael M. from Dallas, TX I worked with Micah for two and half months and even though it was clear that she possesses a great deal of knowledge about Spanish, her teaching style needs a bit of improvement. At times, Micah can be short and this makes her appear rude. This may not be intentional on her part but this is the way she appears, especially if she is annoyed by a question you ask her and she is not sure of her answer. When I had certain questions, Micah would give answers like "That's just the way it is," or "It's like that in every language." Being an educator myself, I am well aware that these kinds of answers are not acceptable. They are certainly not acceptable if they are not true. I think that Micah is a fair to good instructor. She could be great if she were more patient, considerate, and thoughtful in the answers that she provides to her students. I have made the comments listed here to be helpful to Micah and prospective students who are considering working with her.
