I have a great passion for teaching children of all ages. I spent the last three years working as an intensive reading teacher for struggling ESE (learning disabled) and ESOL (learning English) 8th graders. I am patient and understanding of the different ways each student learns. I am proud to say that this past year 87% of my students showed gains on the reading portion of the FCAT. These students began the year reading at a third grade level, the FCAT of course is at an 8th grade level.
