Diane K. from Streamwood, IL When my son needed a tutor for German class I was a little hesitant about the type of tutor we would be getting (would it be a good fit, would the person be patient, would the person be overwhelming). My son is extremely smart but language skills have posed a great challenge for him. He has been extremely hard on himself for not being able to grasp German. I am thrilled with Nelli! She is patient and always reassuring of my son's learning. She constantly encourages him and uses positive reinforce to ensure he doesn't lose his confidence. She is always willing to review his homework to help understand what he is struggling with at the time. If he does not have any current work, Nellie always has extra study sheets to practice. She will review basic words to reinforce what he does know and then will introduce more difficult phrases and grammar. Nelli will always explain the structure of nouns, verbs and grammar to form proper sentences. She will also explain German culture based on regions and history to get a better understanding of how or why certain words are used. If my son is struggling with a concept Nelli will find another way to convey the information. She has been very flexible with her scheduling and has made it convenient for us to attend tutoring. She will always remind my son that if he runs across something during the week that he really needs to know for class that he just does not understand to please email her for help. Nelli is a wonderful tutor. She has quite the knack of working with high school students. I have already seen an improvement in my son's grade and confidence within a short time period. Nelli has proven to be a valuable asset to my son's learning of the German language.
