I was inspired by my 8th grade science teacher to become a science teacher. His name was Mr. Perkins.
When I started student teaching, I was supposed to observe for a week before teaching a class. I took over the second day. Based on what they saw, the school offered me a contract. I never applied anywhere. What they saw was someone who taught with enthusiasm and passion.
