The Best Little ASL Tutor in Fremont

Hello, my name is Marcos. Please call me Mark. I am Deaf myself. I had been volunteering and Teacher Assistant at Deaf Fremont for two years. Now I am a substitute teacher aide and volunteer in two school districts. I have been tutoring Deaf and Hearing students in American Sign Language and Math. They are third and fourth grade students. I was a counselor camp with Hearing and Deaf campers and I taught ASL to them. I had a lot of experiences in ASL and Math….

Jennie H. from Hayward, CA Mark was good at ASL but not a good special needs teacher as he claims in his tutor bio. He quit without giving me 24 hours notice, and I would not have known he was quitting, if I hadn't texted him the night before our morning tutor lesson. If I had not texted him the night before, I believe he just would not have shown up. He had all week to tell me he no longer wanted to teach my daughter and me ASL. During our last tutoring session, Mark did not even give me a clue that he was unhappy with our arrangement. I wanted to give him a chance because he was deaf. Out of the six lessons we had planned, he only made it to three. I told him before I hired him, my daughter needed consistency. Also, he waited two weeks before he billed me for his first tutor session. My experience was not good.
