I am a special educator, life coach, and former school principal. I have tutored for school districts and families, and have taught students from first grade through graduate school. I love teaching one-on-one; lessons are always tailored to each student to maximize learning and fun. It can sometimes be a challenge getting my daughter to pay attention, but somehow Mary Jo has maintained her attention and managed to complete tasks in a third of the time that it usually takes my daughter. Mary Jo does not waste a minute of the tutoring time. First, she reviews with my daughter, then discusses what subject area needs immediate attention, then long term goals are discussed.
