The Mathematical Cat

I teach mathematics as an extension of English with a dose of logic. The process I use is to show where the math concept being studied applies in multiple areas of life and how to deal with these diverse problems with the same abstract concepts.
Academically, I am a mathematician with a PhD from Louisiana State University. Professionally, I am a computer systems and database designer. Personally I am an amateur musician (cornet and voice) and a writer (mostly poetry).
