Math Tutor from Algebra to Calculus
I am available for tutoring math at all levels from pre-algebra to calculus and chemistry, including organic chemistry. I have been tutoring these subjects part-time since 2008 while I balance my responsibilities as a mother of three. Testimonials
Frank P. from Falls Church, VA Maya is a caring and understanding engineer and mother with excellent people skills and is very patient and deliberate in getting to the fundamentals and the key processes of math/algebra. We marveled at the fact that she fundamentally developed a lesson book of key concepts for our son and reinforced those concepts at each meeting. She introduced some testing and challenges for our son as well. She is always on time and very sincere and professional in her tasks. She is encouraging and motivated to help attain success.
Carole O. from Falls Church, VA Maya quickly developed a rapport with my son. He settles right down to work with her on math and chemistry homework. \ His grades showed rapid improvement when she started working with him. She is very supportive and he really responds to her teaching style. When they work together, it feels like a very collaborative process, and my son has a sense of accomplishment when he's done.
Samantha R. from Arlington, VA I really like the way Maya approaches tutoring a teen. She does not tell my daughter what to do but rather lets my daughter first identify where she is having problems. They tackle the questions together and along with Calculus my daughter is learning to identify what she doesn't understand and how to work with someone else to find a solution.
