Devin M. from San Francisco, CA Matthias was knowledgeable of Microeconomics and stressed to me it's important to understand the information and comprehend it for future problems, rather then just know it for the current problem. We did 23 problems of Microeconomics together, enduring some tricky wording and complex calculations we were able to get the majority correct. I had a good lesson with Matthias and if your looking for a tutor with a nice amount of knowledge for a modest price then Matthias is a nice choice.
Jan P. from San Francisco, CA Matthias is an excellent teacher. He very quickly grasps where you are on a subject and adapts and explains things in a very clear manner all the important concepts. He is also very patient, and his succinct teaching style is above some of the professors I have experienced at the university level.
Brooke H. from San Francisco, CA Matthias is a perfect tutor for me because I needed to understand how to break down complex problems and he could help me visualize the simplest ways to approach these logic problems that I struggled with. I recommend Matthias because he also has a very broad range of knowledge and wants you to succeed.
Tami F. from San Francisco, CA What I want from a tutor is a quick email response and Matthias answered right away. He showed an interest and made me feel at ease that he could tackle the material I was having trouble with. He was on time the day of our lesson and is very easy to work with. He clearly explains the material and is extremely patient. He has a great sense of humor which puts you at ease. I would highly recommend Matthias if you want someone that replies quickly and knows the course material.
Shawn L. from San Francisco, CA Matthias is a very good instructor and very knowledgeable regarding all facets of excel. I have very basic excel experience and Matthias is great at helping me apply what I know to real world problems, teaching me the next steps, and showing me great keyboard shortcuts. He's easy going but makes sure you get the information you need to know and want to learn.
Brian B. from San Francisco, CA Matthias has been an excellent tutor. He's been great about working around my busy schedule and he's always willing to meet in my neighborhood at my favorite coffee spot! Matthias is very knowledgeable and genuinely enjoys teaching math. His lessons gave me the insight I needed to get the grade I wanted in my class. I would highly recommend Matthias!

Camp L. from Belvedere Tiburon, CA Matthias is phenomenal with my 6 year old son. He makes lessons fun and is responsive to his needs as a little one. My son is an only child who is into chess but since I don't play it is very helpful to have Matthias bridge the gap in our family. Matthias is extremely responsive and a total pro in every way! We are so happy we found him. Not only is Matthias a great chess tutor but a good person.
Erica J. from Greenbrae, CA Matthias' instruction was clear and concise and he allowed space for me to grasp the concepts myself. I was out of the area so our session was done via Skype and using a blackboard which was effective. The topic covered was graduate level probability and statistics which he was able to navigate with experience and understanding.
Emilee H. from San Francisco, CA Matthias was able to explain some fundamentals of calculus quickly and effectively and by the end of the session I was solving difficult integrals. He is very kind and punctual as well.
Neve D. from San Rafael, CA MATTHIAS IS VERY VERY HELPFUL. He retaught me a half semester of college statistics in two hours. I would call him again in a heartbeat.
Kristen B. from San Francisco, CA Matthias has tackled an amorphous ("I want to learn German this summer") tutoring project with grace and ease, and has established a very good tutorial relationship with my 10-year-old son. We are very happy with him as a tutor and would recommend him highly.
Stephanie (Mom) M. from Katy, TX Matthias has tutored my son through a summer college Calculus 1325 class. He is very knowledgeable of the material and worked well with my son to fill in the gaps and thoroughly explain the concepts in a way that would stick. In a short amount of time, he was able to help my son master the class material and earn an A for the semester. We hope to work with him again in the future.
