High school mathematics

First thing out of high school I went to Western Washington University where I studied Computer Science (major) and English (minor) for five years. Some of us in the Computer Science program also wanted to minor in Math — but the course catalog specifically said that we couldn’t. We assumed it was because of the sheer amount of Math required for our major already.

During those years I discovered that while I enjoyed Computer Science, teaching felt even more natural.
