He makes sure my son grasps a concept and has time to practice the concept before moving on. If my son is still struggling or needs more practice, he stays on that concept or provides suggestions geared towards my son's age and ability level. My son was struggling with drawing a video game character from different perspectives, so Virgil suggested we use modeling clay to create the character so that my son could see what he was drawing since he was having trouble visualizing it. He paces the lessons and concepts around his students' growth and understanding and ensures the skills taught are being mastered and learned before moving on. That's what great teachers do! He is very professional and is well organized and prepared for every lesson. Virgil always comes prepared already knowing what will be taught for the day. At the same time, he is also very flexible with changing things if need be. My son and I are really lucky to have found Virgil!!!
