Reading is a Mind & Body Connection!

I have been a 4th and 5th grade teacher in the public school system for 8 years. I believe that if a student cannot access print, their academic struggles will be endless. I use a multisensory, mindfulness based strategy for teaching reading and writing to students. I understand that a student must be engaged, but not frustrated, for a lesson to be successful. I am familiar with a range of informal assessments, and use those assessments to address the needs of my students.
