He had scored quite high on the reading and writing sections of the PSAT, but much lower in Math. I believed that with some help, he could improve his Math. He was not happy with the idea of going to tutoring, but Tracey won him over right away and was able to quickly identify the areas that he needed help. My son has Asperger's Syndrome, and although he is very high functioning, he can be challenging to teach at times. Tracey is so patient, and very skilled at adapting her instruction to meet a particular child's learning style. My son scored a 660 on the Math section of the SAT after only 5 or 6 sessions with Tracey. That is an improvement from the 61st to the 85th percentile in Math! I couldn't be happier with the results of the tutoring, and my son finally believes that he CAN be good at Math. Update - after a few months of tutoring with Tracey, my son took the SAT a second time and improved even more, gaining 200 points overall since his first SAT. He scored at the 97th percentile overall. The only SAT prep he did were his lessons with Tracey. My father, a retired school principal, commented that the cost of tutoring had been "the best money we ever spent"! I couldn't agree more. Tracey is the best.
