Calvin W. from Palo Alto, CA I just completed a course titled Applied Statistics for Psychology. In the beginning I had big fears concerning this course. I was very fortunate to find a tutor close to where I live through WyzAnt, her name is Jennifer B. She really came through for me with flying colors to make it her mission to help me to succeed in this course. Jennifer came to my rescue and into my home twice a week for nine weeks straight, and she is always punctual with our sessions. It was comforting having Jennifer by my side checking my homework, answering my questions, as well as sitting through a whole hour of online seminars discussing applied statistics for psychology each of the nine weeks that she came to my home. I am really impressed with Jennifer due to the fact that she knew all there was to know about statistics and more. It?s one thing to "know your stuff", but effectively explaining it to someone who has questions about it is another thing. Jennifer has great communication skills and does very well at explaining the results of my statistical analysis. Jennifer is very professional, she is patient but firm, polite, smart, helpful, and encouraging. It has been ten weeks and now the course is completed. I received an outstanding "A" for my final grade and I owe a lot of this success to Jennifer's assistance. I am really glad that my first experience with a tutor coming to my home was Jennifer. I will not hesitate to request for Jennifer B. as my next tutor, because she is the best!

It's never clicked with me and when it came time to take my statistics class in college before I could transfer to a university, it took me a couple tries. The first two times, I had a really hard time keeping up with the class along with my other classes, and the material was difficult for me to understand. This summer, I enrolled in another statistics class, which thanks to Jennifer was the last one I would ever have to take. The first week of the course, I knew that I needed a tutor to literally walk me through the course. I found Jennifer on WyzAnt and was eager to get started. I must say, every meeting was extremely productive. Jennifer is extremely patient and somehow is able to explain the material in a way that nobody else could, to the point where once I left the session I felt like I had a full understanding of the section or chapter that we were working on. Throughout the course, I spent a lot of time with Jennifer and she's the best - she's funny and extremely intelligent and very dependable. I can't think of taking another math class without having her help. Without her, I honestly do not think I would have passed the course in the fast-paced setting that the summer classes are in. If you're looking for a tutor, Jennifer's the best there is.

While I unfortunately did not pass my class, that was due to hiring her really late in the quarter, just four weeks before the class ended. She has a very flexible schedule and as long as you clearly lay out what you don't understand, you will be getting your money's worth!

Jennifer is able to diagnose a student's situation quickly, make recommendations to him or her, and work with the student to achieve a goal together. She offered great encouragement to our son, who's in 10th grade/ He struggles in his writing and I think the lesson review with him really helped him understand the paper he was writing and a better way to organize his thoughts. We're looking forward to more 'classes' for our son with Jennifer.
