Margaret tutored my 16 year-old daughter who is an excellent student but was unsure as to how to prepare for the SAT. She has achieved tremendous success with Margaret's patient guidance and encouragement and her wonderful ability to teach English and vocabulary to students who aren't enamored with the subject. In addition, while my daughter is a phenomenal math student Margret provided her with excellent tips and techniques to capitalize on this strength during the exam. Not only did she teach her how to develop a proper and complete essay, but Margaret showed her how through hard work she can excel, even in subjects she dislikes. Margaret is such an adept tutor, because she not only assesses the student's strengths and weaknesses but quickly adapts her tutoring strategies to respond to the student's changing needs. Moreover, she took a student who did not believe she had the ability to do well in this area of the SAT and helped her realize the contrary. I cannot recommend Margaret highly enough!

I originally enlisted Margaret for help in a college philosophy course I was struggling with; however, she was so on point, and efficient, I ended up having her help me with my other classes as well! One of the elements I was so impressed with, was how Margaret prepared for my tutoring sessions. Margaret took my books, lecture notes, and other materials, read them ALL, at home, and came back to our next session with a complete understanding of the material for which I was struggling with. Margaret created "cheat sheets," which considerably helped me study for my midterms. Margaret was able to translate the complicated material into simplistic terms, which I could then retain. Margaret's hourly rate is very reasonable, considering the amount of preparation she does outside the tutor sessions. She also has a flexible schedule, which accommodated my class schedule, making it a breeze to meet. I simply can not say enough positive things about Margaret; she is truly a gem people!! You will not find another teacher as passionate and dedicated to her students success as Margaret.
