She is 18 and struggles with a speech and language disorder that is both expressive and receptive and has difficulty with reading, comprehension, and test taking. She was amazed at the patience Aliya had for her and the different ways she would have my daughter approach trying to comprehend a sentence. When my daughter tried 9 ways and didn't comprehend and it finally clicked with the 10th try, she was elated and so appreciative of Aliya's patience, perseverance, and belief in her ability to do it!. Thank you Aliya, you are our very best Christmas present this year! My daughter tutored with Aliya today (2/13/13), and even though I don't always have time to write a review, each session Aliya tutors is just as good as the last. It has been difficult for my daughter to learn and she truly benefits from the 1:1 time and the patience that Aliya provides. Many of these things my daughter missed in school because we were so focused on the standardized testing and just getting through so she could get a "regular diploma" that it was difficult to take the time to learn just for learning's sake. When you have someone with a learning glitch it takes longer, and Aliya meets my daughter at the exact point where my daughter is in the learning process.
