Kristi H. from Midlothian, VA Polly helps motivate and tutor our 6 year old son in phonics, reading, writing, etc. He has a dx of highly functioning Aspergers and ADHD. Polly is very patient with him yet establishes clear boundaries. He desperately wants to learn but has trouble focusing. Polly is able to keep him on track during sessions and recognizes when he needs a break. He will work the entire session for her with just one small break. She comes to every session with seemingly numerous back-up plans to keep him engaged. She is always punctual and thorough. After every session she makes herself available to discuss the lesson and address any concerns or questions. She posts an extremely detailed lists of each lesson plan after they're done and likes to incorporate homework from his school, like Spelling. Most importantly, it's apparent that her first priority is the child. She really seems to consider our son's specific needs and challenges and tailors his lessons accordingly. He respects her and looks forward to his lessons with her. We continue to use her on a regular basis.
